Dear Mom, Dad, and Grandpa
If you have ever been run over by a 10 ton truck loaded with bricks, you know how I feel right now. We had a 8 mile hike and then heard over the radio about no Christmas leaves. I sure was looking forward to it. I havn’t really go down and bawled for a long time, but if I do I won’t be alone. Dome of the fellows even had their weddings set for them. What a kick in the rear this is.
I don’t know whether or not it will be worth your while to drive out here. I might not be able to even get out of camp. I should find out real soon and let you know as soon as possible.
Five guys from Parkman Ohio were here today. I gave them Opals address and told them to call her and say I said hello. I got a letter from her today.
Well I hope your new house suits you ok. It will be a lot better for you. Escpecially since I’m not there to always mow the lawn amen.
I’m going to take an extra long shower – maybe holding breath for a couple of hours so if I don’t write tomorrow you know what happened,
I’ll write tomorrow
